The AER is preparing data reporting workbooks for TNSPs, DNSPs and interconnectors to meet their obligations under the Annual Information Orders (Orders) made 5 April 2024. 

The information provided in response to the annual information order is subject to the assurance requirements set out in section 6 of the Order. The data reporting workbooks include a list of the relevant assurance standard for each table in the data reporting workbook. The data workbooks also set out data validation rules for each table.

The data reporting workbooks should be completed by the relevant NSP or interconnector and submitted to the AER as set out under the Orders. 

We consulted with the NSPs to develop the reporting workbooks. Issues raised and our responses to these issues are provided in the Issues Register. 

Note: The Issues Register was updated on 18 December 2024 to include issue number 61.

While the new reporting requirements (Orders) replace the previous RIN reporting requirements, much of the data requirements remain the same. To assist with NSP reporting, the data reporting workbooks follow the structure and table numbering as the RIN reporting workbooks. We have attached a 'RIN to Orders' mapping file to assist users with comparing data tables between the two reporting template sources. 

A Glossary of terms and definitions is provided to assist NSPs and other interested users with understanding terms used in the tab names, row descriptors and column headings. 

On 5 December 2024, we emailed TNSPs to advise them of the final reporting workbook for the Annual Information Orders. 

We provided an alternate table 5.4 Maximum Demand & Utilisation-Spatial table (with alternative layout) as requested by TNSPs during the consultation phase. TNSPs may complete the alternate table 5.4 instead of the table 5.4 in the reporting workbook.

We will publish the data reporting workbook for interconnectors in January 2025.
