Gas pipeline access disputes
The AER is the dispute resolution body for access disputes relating to scheme pipelines under Chapter 5 of the National Gas Law.
Electricity access disputes

RIT-T and RIT-D disputes
We resolve disputes about the application of the Regulatory Investment Test for Transmission (RIT-T) or Distribution (RIT-D) by network businesses.
Energy retailer complaints
The AER does not resolve disputes between energy customers and their retailer.
However, we receive reports on customer complaints and disputes which are provided to us by energy businesses and Ombudsman schemes. We use this information to monitor compliance with the rules.
More information and advice on making a complaint about your retailer is available in our Consumers section.
