The AER released its draft determination for the Tasmanian transmission network service provider, Transend, for the 2009–14 regulatory control period, on 27 November 2008.
The draft decision establishes the basis for determining network charges in the 2009-2014 regulatory control period.

The AER held a predetermination conference on the draft determination for Transend in Hobart on Wednesday 10 December 2008. The purpose of the predetermination conference was to outline the draft decision and receive oral submissions from interested parties.
Submissions closed on 18 February 2009.
