Final Decision
On 30 April 2024, we published our final decision on the distribution and transmission revenue that TasNetworks can recover from its consumers in the 2024–29 regulatory control period.
Background
TasNetworks is an electricity distribution and transmission network service provider. Its next five year regulatory control period for both networks commence on 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2029 (2024–29).
Under the National Electricity Rules (NER), TasNetworks is required to submit its regulatory proposals to us by 31 January 2023. However, prior to that date, the NER require us to review the current F&A paper that applies to TasNetworks and decide whether to amend or replace it.
In June 2022, TasNetworks submitted the methodology it proposes to use to prepare the forecasts of operating expenditure and capital expenditure that form part of its regulatory proposal and the AER, in July 2022, published the final framework for TasNetworks.
