On 3 April 2006, Powerlink submitted a revenue cap application to the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) for the period 1 July 2007 to 30 June 2012. The AER is required to set a revenue cap for the non-contestable elements of the transmission services provided by Powerlink for the period.
On 14 June 2007, the AER released its final decision on the maximum allowed revenues that Powerlink is entitled to recover.
