The AER is required under the transitional provisions within Chapter 11 of the National Electricity Rules (the transitional chapter 6 rules) to make distribution determinations for Ausgrid (EnergyAustralia), Endeavour Energy (Integral Energy) and Essential Energy (Country Energy) (the NSW DNSPs) in relation to the New South Wales electricity distribution network. On 2 June 2008, Energy Australia submitted its regulatory proposal to the AER.
The AER released its final decision and distribution determinations on 28 April 2009 for AusGrid (EnergyAustralia) for the regulatory control period 1 July 2009 to 30 June 2014.
On 25 November 2009 the AER published a further final decision in accordance with the Australian Competition Tribunal's decision.
