On 13 November 2020, TransGrid submitted an application under clause 6A.7.3 of the National Electricity Rules to the AER for a positive pass through of costs related to the 2019-20 bushfires. Its application proposes to recover $53.2 million (positive pass through) from electricity users through an increase in transmission prices in each of the remaining two years of the current regulatory control period, that is, from 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2023.
