On 7 April 2014 the AER released a Notice and Information Sheet. These documents outline the purpose of the framework and approach and submission process.

Submissions closed 18 April 2014.

Submissions closed on 21 July 2014. Before the closing date additional time was requested by Citelum, The Street Lighting Group of Councils and the Victorian Department of State Development, Business and Innovation to lodge late submissions. The AER has accepted those submissions accordingly.

On 24 October 2014 the AER made a final decision on a replacement Framework and Approach for the Victorian Electricity Distributors.
