The Australian Competition Tribunal on 12 January 2012 handed down its decision on the review of the AER’s July 2011 gas access arrangements decisions for the South Australian and Queensland gas distribution network operators, Envestra and APT Allgas.
Envestra and APT Allgas both applied for a review of the AER’s decision on the cost of debt. Envestra also applied for a review of the return on equity and aspects of the AER’s decision in relation to its operating expenditure allowance for its South Australian network.
The Tribunal has allowed Envestra and APT Allgas to recover additional revenues.
