Retail exemptions

The applicant’s exemption from the requirement to register as a network service provider and the operation of Chapter 5 of the NER has now come into effect.

On 16 January 2024, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) approved BAEV - LaSalle Bonnyrigg Plaza Pty Ltd’s application for an individual exemption.

On 26 February 2022, the AER approved Uniting (NSW.ACT)'s (Uniting) application for an individual exemption from the requirement to hold a retailer authorisation under the National Energy Retail Law at Uniting Bowden Brae, Normanhurst, New South Wales.

On 9 February 2022 the AER published its final decision, granting exemption to Iberdrola Australia SAGT Pty Ltd (Iberdrola) from notice of closure requirements.

On 16 December 2021, the AER published its final decision, granting exemption to AGL Macquarie Pty Limited (AGL) from notice of closure requirements.
