The Applicant's exemption from the requirement to hold a retailer authorisation under the National Energy Retail Law came into effect on 26 April 2016. The exemption is provided for in the AER's Exempt Selling Guideline and is subject to a number of conditions attached to the R2 class exemption.

Before 26 April 2016, this exemption was registered to Kred Pty Ltd / ABN 68 145 344 403.
From 28 September 2017, registered exemptions for this site were split into two separate exemptions registered by two separate entities:
- 75 Shortland Esplanade - Strata Plan 95192 / ABN 51 403 081 849
- 77 Shortland Esplanade - Strata Plan 92940 / ABN 95 489 784 016
