On 5 May 2017, CitiPower and Powercor submitted to the AER a waiver application under clause 5.2 of the Electricity ring-fencing guideline 2016 (Guideline). The application relates to a range of activities, including services that may be reclassified, continued use of existing branding and continued use of their joint operating model. CitiPower and Powercor seek a waiver from certain functional separation provisions of the Guideline to help them transition to full compliance without incurring unreasonable costs.

We invited interested parties to make submissions on the CitiPower/Powercor application by Wednesday 21 June 2017. Submissions have now closed and are available below.
