Overview

Final decision

On 2 August 2024, the AER published the final Day Ahead Auction (DAA) Record Keeping Guideline Version 2. The Guideline outlines the information that must be contained in facility operator nomination and scheduling records as well as shipper renominations records.

The AER has published a final decision document alongside the DAA Record Keeping Guideline Version 2 that outlines the amendments made.

These amendments are proposed to improve the quality of information received and aid facility operator and transportation facility user compliance with the NGL and NGR.

Background

The AER is responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance with various obligations in the NGL, NGR and guidelines. This guideline sets out how transportation facility operators and users should record and maintain nomination and renomination data relevant to the AER’s monitoring functions.

The AER sought stakeholder feedback on 2 occasions on the proposed amendments to the DAA Record Keeping Guideline, in April 2023 through a consultation paper and in June 2024 through a draft decision. The AER received a total of 12 submissions and used these to formulate the final amendments in the final decision.
