We have published our revised draft determination on the 2024 Values of Customer Reliability methodology and stakeholders are invited to make submissions until 3 July 2024.

The revised draft determination follows our consultation paper published on 22 March 2024 and our subsequent decision to switch to the standard rules consultation procedure. The revised draft determination articulates our reasoning for the proposed methodology, responds to key points raised by stakeholders, and identifies several main areas where we consider further stakeholder views would be valuable.

Stakeholders are invited to make submissions on the draft by 3 July 2024. Submissions, or general inquiries, can be made by emailing VCR2024ataer [dot] gov [dot] au (VCR2024[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au).  You can also provide verbal feedback or discuss key issues on the draft methodology by emailing us to schedule a consultation meeting.

After submissions close, we have 50 business days to publish our final determination on the VCR methodology. More information on our review, including indicative timing, is available on the 2024 VCR review project page.

We acknowledge that long duration outages (longer than 12 hours) require consideration, and we are considering an interim value in a separate but parallel consultation process. More information on that process is available on the Value of Network Resilience project page.
