On 26 April 2023, the AER accepted an application from WINconnect Pty Ltd on behalf of AMP Capital Investors Ltd to cancel (repeal) an individual exemption for the sale of electricity at Marrickville Metro Shopping Centre. AMP Capital Investors Ltd requests the cancellation of exemption on the grounds that it no longer owns or operates Marrickville Metro Shopping Centre and does not sell electricity at the site.
The AER may cancel any exemptions that it has approved. Under the National Energy Retail Rules (Retail Rules) cancellation is subject to the retail consultation process specified in the Retail Rules.
