Consultation paper

On 5 November 2018, the AER distributed a draft guideline for consultation. On 7 November 2018, the AER published workshop documentation. 

On 12 April 2023, the AER released a Notice of Consultation on the amendment to the Day Ahead Auction (DAA) Record Keeping Guideline and published a Consultation Paper seeking stakeholder feedback on our proposed amendments to the DAA Record Keeping Guideline. These amendments are proposed to improve the quality of information received and aid facility operator and transportation facility user compliance with the NGR and NGL.

Submissions - Notice of consultation

Interested parties are invited to make a submission on a Notice of Consultation on the amendment to the Day Ahead Auction (DAA) Record Keeping Guideline by close of business 12 May 2023.

We prefer that all submissions are in Microsoft Word or another text readable document format. Submissions should be emailed to AERGasMarketsPipelineCapacityTradingataer [dot] gov [dot] au (subject: Day%20Ahead%20Auction%20Record%20Keeping%20Guideline%20Consultation) (AERGasMarketsPipelineCapacityTrading[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au) with the subject Day Ahead Auction Record Keeping Guideline Consultation or alternatively submissions can be posted to:

We prefer that all submissions be publicly available to facilitate an informed and transparent consultative process. Submissions will be treated as public documents unless otherwise requested. Parties wishing to submit confidential information should:

  • clearly identify the information that is the subject of the confidentiality claim
  • provide a non-confidential version of the submission in a form suitable for publication.
