On 18 September 2018, the AER published Version 6 of the AER Compliance Procedures and Guidelines and the accompanying Notice of Final Instrument. Version 6 of the Guidelines replaces Version 5 with effect from 1 April 2019.

At the same time the AER released an updated Practice Guide for Compliance Audits to further supplement the information on compliance audits in the Guidelines.
