On 18 August 2017, the AER approved an electricity retailer authorisation application from PowerHub Pty Ltd (PowerHub) under the National Energy Retail Law (NERL). Power Hub is now authorised to retail electricity as and when the NERL is adopted in each participating jurisdiction.
