The Registrant's exemption from the requirement to hold a retailer authorisation under the National Energy Retail Law is no longer in effect. The exemption is provided for in the AER's Exempt Selling Guideline and is subject to a number of conditions attached to the R2 class exemption.

On 7 August 2023 the AER received notice from Volcom Energy Pty Ltd / ABN 44 614 717 010 of the cancellation of exemption on the grounds that it no longer owns or operates or sells electricity at the site.
