The registrant's exemption from the requirement to register as an energy retailer under the National Energy Retail Law and Rules (NERL and NERR) has now come into effect. The exemption was granted under section 110 of the NERL and 151 of the NERR, and in accordance with the AER's Exempt Selling Guideline (Retail Exemption Guideline), and is subject to a number of conditions.

The R8 class exemption applies to energy sales under PPA agreements to commercial customers, and to residential customers where the duration of the PPA is less than 10 years and the customer is able to terminate the agreement early. LSG Solar Investments Pty Ltd has advised it will only sell to commercial customers.
