On 27 May 2020 we received a cost pass through application from AusNet Services seeking to recover costs incurred in respect of the 2019-20 bushfires. AusNet Services submits that the restoration effort to restore supply in response to the bushfires has had a material impact on their costs of providing direct control services. To recover these costs AusNet Services proposes a positive pass through amount of approximately $14.7 million. The AER will now assess this application and invite submission from interested parties by close of business on Friday 19 June 2020.
