On 28 March 2014, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) accepted an application from Solar Financial Solutions Pty Ltd for an individual electricity exemption from the requirement to hold a retailer authorisation under the National Energy Retail Law. Submissions on Solar Financial Solutions' application for an individual exemption closed 7 May 2014.
On 27 June 2014, the AER granted an individual exemption to Solar Financial Solutions for electricity.
