A recent AEMC rule change to the cost pass through arrangements of the National Electricity Rules gave transmission network service providers the ability to nominate additional pass through events in their determinations. Transitional arrangements permit Powerlink to apply to the AER to amend its 2012–17 transmission determination to include proposed nominated pass through events. Powerlink has applied to include three nominated pass through events in its determination.
Invitation for submissions
The AER is seeking submissions on Powerlink’s application by close of business 31 January 2013 before making its decision in March 2013. Submissions can be emailed to AERinquiry

The AER prefers that all submissions be sent in an electronic format in Microsoft Word or other text readable document form and publicly available, to facilitate an informed, transparent and robust consultation process. Accordingly, submissions will be treated as public documents and posted on the AER's website, unless prior arrangements are made with the AER to treat the submission, or portions of it, as confidential. Those wishing to submit confidential information are requested to:
- clearly identify the information that is the subject of the confidentiality claim; and
- provide a non-confidential version of the submission
