On 2 April 2012, the AER received an application for electricity retailer authorisation from Pacific Hydro Retail Pty Ltd (Pacific Hydro Retail).
Pacific Hydro Retail is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pacific Hydro Pty Ltd, which operates renewable energy generators throughout Australia. Pacific Hydro Retail is seeking retailer authorisation to retail electricity to large customers in the National Electricity Market, with an initial focus in Victoria and South Australia.
The AER invites submissions on the application by Tuesday 8 May 2012. Submissions should be made in relation to the applicant’s ability to meet the entry criteria, as prescribed by section 90 of the Retail Law, and set out in the AER Retailer Authorisation Guideline.
