On 28 June 2010, the AER released its decision to approve the access arrangement (including the reference services agreement and access arrangement information) for the Jemena Gas Networks' NSW gas distribution network owned by Jemena Gas Networks Ltd (Jemena)for the period 1 July 2010 to 30 June 2015. On 26 September 2011, the AER released its final decision on the treatment of Jemena Gas Networks’ mine subsidence expenditure. This matter was remitted back to the AER by the Australian Competition Tribunal (Tribunal) in June 2011.
Access arrangements pre-2010
Before coming under the regulation of the AER, Jemena Gas Network (NSW) Limited’s gas distribution network access arrangements were approved by the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal of NSW (IPART). The most recent access arrangement approved by IPART ran until 30 June 2010.
