TasNetworks was created by the Tasmanian Government to manage the electricity transmission and distribution networks in Tasmania from 1 July 2014. Prior to 1 July 2014, Aurora Energy managed the electricity distribution network in Tasmania.
Background
The AER's distribution determination will specify the revenue or prices for Aurora Energy's electricity distribution service.
Aurora Energy submitted its regulatory proposal and response to the AER's Regulatory Information Notice (RIN) to the AER on 31 May 2011. Aurora provided an addendum to its regulatory proposal on 22 June 2011.
The AER published its final decision on 30 April 2012.
Access arrangements pre 2012
Before coming under the regulation of the AER, electricity distribution determinations for Aurora Energy were approved by the Office of the Tasmanian Economic Regulator (OTTER).
