On 26 February 2019, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) approved a gas retailer authorisation application from Sumo Gas Pty Ltd (Sumo Gas) under the National Energy Retail Law (Retail Law).
Background
On 7 December 2018, the AER accepted an application from Sumo Gas for a gas retailer authorisation under the National Energy Retail Law (Retail Law). Sumo Gas is now authorised to retail gas as and when the Retail Law is adopted in each participating jurisdiction.
The AER sought submissions from interested stakeholders. Consultation on the application closed on Friday 11 January 2019. No submissions were received.
