The AER is responsible for monitoring activity in the Short Term Trading Market, Victorian Gas Market and Gas Supply Hub markets and on the National Gas Market Bulletin Board. The AER’s weekly gas market analysis forms an important part of this work. They contain information on market outcomes, price movements, demand changes, flows, and production. By monitoring activity in these markets, the AER is able to keep up to date with market conditions and identify compliance issues.
Inaccurate numbers initially published on the Bulletin Board map (figure 5.1) have been updated. Accurate comparisons are now shown for the current and previous week (affecting production at Iona underground storage in the Otway basin/Port Campbell, and at Dandenong LNG in Eastern Victoria/Gippsland, and flows shown for the QSN Link).
