On 31 May 2022, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) accepted an application from STUCCO Co-operative Ltd to cancel the individual exemption it was granted on 18 November 2016 for the sale of electricity at 197-207 Wilson Street Newtown, NSW 2042. STUCCO Co-operative Ltd requested the cancellation of the exemption on the grounds that it is no longer engaged in the activity of selling energy as customers are charged a rental fee that includes energy costs.
Invitation for submission
Following the process set out in section 9.1 of the AER Exempt Selling Guideline, we are now seeking submissions from interested stakeholders on STUCCO Co-operative's application to cancel the exemption by Tuesday 28 June 2022.

We will take into account submissions in deciding whether or not to cancel STUCCO Co-operative's exemption.
