Powerlink revised revenue proposal

On 16 January, Powerlink submitted its revised revenue proposal for the provision of its electricity transmission services from 1 July 2012 to 30 June 2017. The revised revenue proposal was submitted in response to the Australian Energy Regulator’s (AER’s) draft decision released in November 2011. The AER will release its final decision and transmission determination in April 2012. The AER’s final decision and transmission determination will govern the maximum allowable revenue for the provision of Powerlink’s transmission services.

Invitation for submissions

Interested parties are invited to provide submissions on the AER’s draft decision and Powerlink’s revised revenue proposal by close of business 20 February 2012. Submissions can be sent electronically to: AERInquiryaer [dot] gov [dot] au (AERInquiry[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au).

The AER prefers that all submissions be publicly available to facilitate an informed and transparent consultative process. Submissions will be treated as public documents unless otherwise requested. Parties wishing to submit confidential information are requested to:

• Clearly identify the information that is the subject of the confidentiality claim; and
• Provide a non-confidential version of the submission.

All non-confidential submissions will be placed on the AER’s website. The AER will deal with all information it receives in the transmission determination process, including submissions on the draft decision, in accordance with the ACCC / AER information policy.
