The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) has released its draft decision on the Powerlink transmission determination for the period 1 July 2012 to 30 June 2017.
The draft decision and reports prepared by the AER's consultants are now available on the AER's website.
The AER has scheduled a pre-determination conference on the draft decision in Brisbane on Wednesday 14 December 2011. The purpose of the predetermination conference is to explain the draft decision and receive oral submissions. Interested parties can register to attend the predetermination conference by contacting Kiri Larter by Monday 5 December 2011.
Submissions in response to the draft decision and the consultants' reports need to be sent to the AER by Monday 20 February 2012.

The AER prefers that all submissions be publicly available to facilitate an informed and transparent consultative process. Submissions will be treated as public documents and posted on the AER website, www.aer.gov.au, except and unless prior arrangements are made with the AER to treat the submission, or portions of it, as confidential. Parties wishing to submit confidential information are requested to:
- clearly identify the information that is the subject of the confidentiality claim; and
- provide a non-confidential version of the submission.
A copy of Powerlink's revenue proposal, proposed negotiating framework, proposed pricing methodology and submissions from interested parties is available on the AER's website.
