On 21 February 2014, the AER granted gas and electricity retailer authorisations to CovaU Pty Ltd (‘CovaU’) under the National Energy Retail Law. CovaU is now authorised to retail electricity and gas as and when the National Energy Retail Law is adopted in each participating jurisdiction.
The AER sought public submissions on CovaU's applications for retailer authorisations. Consultation on the application closed on 24 January 2014. No submissions were received.
