On 12 August 2019, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) approved an electricity retailer authorisation from Bright Spark Power Pty Ltd (Bright Spark Power) under the National Energy Retail Law (Retail Law). Bright Spark Power is now authorised to retail electricity as and when the Retail Law is adopted in each participating jurisdiction.
The AER sought submissions from interested stakeholders. Consultation on the application closed on 30 April 2019. No submissions were received.
