The AER is currently seeking expressions of interest (EoIs) from retailers to be appointed as default Retailers of Last Resort (RoLRs) for gas customers in the Australian Capital Territory and Queensland. (Queensland is expected to commence the National Energy Retail Law from 1 July 2015). Default RoLR appointments in these jurisdictions would take effect from 1 July 2015, for a minimum period of three years.
The AER is also seeking EoIs from retailers to be appointed as additional RoLRs in the Australian Capital Territory, NSW, South Australia, Tasmania and Queensland.

Should you wish to be considered as a default or additional RoLR, please submit an EoI in the required form by close of business on Monday 16 March 2015. EoIs can be submitted by emailing AERInquiryaer [dot] gov [dot] au (AERInquiry[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au) with the following title in the email: 'Retailer of Last Resort Expression of Interest'.
