The AER is committed to effective stakeholder engagement on our work in the Better Regulation program. We have published a policy note called Better Regulation: an integrated package. The policy note provides an overview of the Better Regulation Program and highlights the interactions between the different workstreams.
The Better Regulation program encompasses several workstreams. These form an integrated package of changes to the way we approach network regulation under the new regulatory framework. A major part of our work sees us releasing several draft guidelines by 9 August 2013. We will apply these guidelines when making revenue determinations for regulated energy network businesses. Many of our workstreams are calling for written submissions on issues papers and holding stakeholder forums leading up to the draft guidelines. We developed Better Regulation: an integrated package to help stakeholders engage in the workstream-level conversations with an awareness of our goal to develop an integrated package.
