The AER is required to determine the revenue allowance for TasNetworks distribution (formerly Aurora Energy) under the National Electricity Rules. In anticipation of its distribution determination, the AER is required to prepare and publish a Framework and approach (F&A) paper. The process commences with an assessment of whether a new F&A is required for the next regulatory period. TasNetworks has approached the AER requesting a new F&A. We are required to consult publicly before we agree to this request.
A replacement F&A would be determined by 31 July 2015. TasNetworks' next regulatory proposal is due in January 2016.
We invite submissions on whether we need to amend or replace the current F&A for TasNetworks distribution. Submissions close at 5 pm 18 March 2015.
