The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) today released a Customer consultation paper on the Victorian Gas Access Arrangement Review. The consultation paper aims to assist customers and customer representative groups to understand the AER’s recent draft decisions on the access arrangements for the Victorian gas transmission and distribution businesses. It provides a background to the AER’s role in relation to gas networks, its approach to assessing transmission and distribution charges, and key outcomes of the draft decisions.
Invitation for submissions
Interested parties are invited to make written submissions to the AER in response to the consultation paper and the draft decisions by close of business Monday 7 January 2013. Submissions should be addressed by email to VicGAARaer [dot] gov [dot] au (VicGAAR[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au) and addressed to the attention of Sebastian Roberts, General Manager, 2012 Victorian Gas Access Arrangement Review, Australian Energy Regulator.
The AER prefers that all submissions be sent in an electronic format in Microsoft Word or other text readable document form and publicly available, to facilitate an informed, transparent and robust consultation process. Accordingly, submissions will be treated as public documents and posted on the AER's website, except and unless prior arrangements are made with the AER to treat the submission, or portions of it, as confidential. Parties wishing to submit confidential information are requested to:
- clearly identify the information that is the subject of the confidentiality claim; and
- provide a non-confidential version of the submission
