The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) has received revenue proposals for the next regulatory control period from the electricity distribution and transmission network service providers in Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales and Tasmania. These proposals will set network prices that contribute to consumer electricity bills in each of those states for the next five years.
The AER is satisfied the proposals from the NSW distribution network service providers and the transmission network service providers include sufficient information and related data for stakeholder consideration to commence and are therefore compliant with these particular requirements of the National Electricity Rules (NER). These proposals have been published on the AER website.
The AER has not published the ACT distribution network service provider ActewAGL’s proposal, as this was not compliant with the NER. The AER has issued ActewAGL with a notice under clause 6.9.1(a) of the NER, to resubmit its regulatory proposal.
Invitation for submissions
Interested parties are invited to provide a submission on the proposals by 1 August 2014. We expect to publish our draft determinations in late November 2014, and final determinations by 30 April 2015, with new prices to commence on 1 July 2015.
