On 2 September 2014, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) accepted an application from Sunburnt Country Power for an individual electricity exemption from the requirement to hold a retailer authorisation under the National Energy Retail Law.
Submissions closed on Friday 3 October 2014. No submissions were received.
On 4 December 2014, the AER granted an individual exemption to Sunburnt Country Power for electricity.
