The AER’s statement of approach guides our comprehensive long-term monitoring and reporting on wholesale electricity markets and helps inform our assessment of the effectiveness of competition and the efficient operation of the National Electricity Market. From time to time we may also publish additional working papers and consultation documents on elements of our approach.
On 5 November 2024 the AER released its Wholesale Market Monitoring and Reporting Guideline, which replaced this Statement of Approach.
