On 4 June 2020, the AER published a final position on the objectives and priorities to be addressed through the preparation of network service performance reports for the electricity and gas network service providers (NSPs) we regulate.
The final objectives and priorities have been informed by stakeholder input on our consultation paper and submissions received were published.
Background
To date we have not prepared network performance reports on regulated gas networks. We intend to commence this reporting in 2021. Prior to doing so, we have consulted with stakeholders to determine objectives and priorities to be addressed through the preparation of these reports.
Similarly, in 2011 we last reviewed the objectives and priorities to addressed through our reporting on electricity NSP performance. Having not reviewed these in some time, we considered it timely to revisit them.
We expect to review these objectives and priorities by no later than 2025, to check they remain fit for purpose.
