On 10 December 2012, the AER released the Better regulation issues paper with more information on the guidelines and our plans for the consultation processes for each work stream.

The AER held a video conference forum on 18 December 2012 to discuss our work program and the consultation process that we are planning.

On 18 March 2013 the AER published a confidentiality guidelines issues paper for consultation as part of the Better Regulation reform program.

The AER held a stakeholder forum on the confidentiality guideline on 4 April 2013.

The AER highlighted its objective in the issues paper as our first step in consulting on the Guidelines. It is based on our experience in dealing with confidentiality claims and using our information disclosure powers.
