On 26 August 2024, the AER published a proposal to make the AER Compliance Procedures and Guidelines (Procedures and Guidelines) for gas pipelines for initial consultation. The proposal was comprised of a draft of the Procedures and Guidelines and an Issues Paper that outlined the rationale for the development of the draft.

Gas pipeline service providers and other interested stakeholders were invited to make submissions on the proposal and draft documents by 16 September 2024.
