The Registrant’s exemption from the requirement to register as a network service provider and the operation of Chapter 5 of the NER has now come into effect. The exemption was granted under clause 2.5.1 of the NER in accordance with the AER’s Electricity NSP Registration Exemption Guideline (Network Exemption Guideline), and is subject to a number of conditions.

The registrant confirms that this site is a greenfield site. For more information, refer to the Network Exemption Guideline.
The exemption applies to energy sales to residential customers. It requires exemption holders to join their state or territory energy ombudsman scheme.
Prior to 28 February 2025 NRG Technologies Pty Ltd / ABN 39 165 515 346 was registered as an additional registrant for this exemption.
ORIGIN ENERGY ELECTRICITY LIMITED / ABN 33 071 052 287 registered as an additional registrant to this exemption. This exemption as it applies to ORIGIN ENERGY ELECTRICITY LIMITED takes effect from 28 February 2025.
