The Applicant’s exemption from the requirement to register as a network service provider and the operation of Chapter 5 of the NER came into effect on 5 October 2016. The exemption was granted under clause 2.5.1 of the NER in accordance with the AER’s Electricity NSP Registration Exemption Guideline (Network Exemption Guideline), and is subject to a number of conditions.

Exemption class applicable conditions
This exemption relates specifically to the embedded network within the extension to the Macarthur Square Shopping Centre.
From 31 March 2017, this exemption registration (that applies only to the shopping centre extension) was replaced by a registration exemption for the entire site.
