In November 2015, SA Power Networks applied to the Australian Competition Tribunal for merits review and the Federal Court for judicial review of the AER’s final 2015-20 distribution determination.

On 28 October 2016, the Australian Competition Tribunal affirmed the AER's 2015-20 distribution determination for SA Power Networks in its entirety.
