On 17 July 2020, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) approved an electricity retailer authorisation application from Total Gas & Power Australia Pty Ltd (TGPAU) under the National Energy Retail Law (Retail Law).
Background
On 4 May 2020, the AER accepted an application from TGPAU for an electricity retailer authorisation under the National Energy Retail Law (Retail Law). TGPAU is now authorised to retail electricity as and when the Retail Law is adopted in each participating jurisdiction.
The AER sought submissions from interested stakeholders. Consultation on the application closed on Tuesday 2 June 2020. No submissions were received.
