On 9 March 2018, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) approved an electricity retailer authorisation application from Real Utilities Pty Limited (Real Utilities) under the National Energy Retail Law (Retail Law).
Background
On 13 November 2017, the AER accepted an application from Real Utilities Pty Limited (Real Utilities) for an electricity retailer authorisation under the National Energy Retail Law (Retail Law). Real Utilities is now authorised to retail electricity as and when the Retail Law is adopted in each participating jurisdiction.
The AER sought submissions from interested stakeholders. Consultation on the application closed on 13 December 2017. One confidential submission was received.
