On 21 July 2014, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) accepted an application from Next Business Energy Pty Ltd (NBE) for an electricity retailer authorisation under the National Energy Retail Law.
The AER sought public submissions on NBE's application for retailer authorisation however no submissions were received.
On 12 September 2014, the AER granted an retailer authorisation to Next Business Energy Pty Ltd under the National Energy Retail Law.
