On 13 November 2014, the AER granted a retailer authorisation to Locality Planning Energy Pty Ltd (LPE) under the National Energy Retail Law. LPE is now authorised to retail electricity as and when the National Energy Retail Law is adopted in each participating jurisdiction.
The AER sought public submissions on LPE's application for retailer authorisation. Consultation on the application closed on 10 September 2014. No submissions were received.
LPE is a private company that proposes to on-sell electricity services to customers (both residential and business customers) in embedded networks.
